Progilon provides strategic consultancy in technology, standardization and worldwide regulations in the area of Power Line Telecommunication (PLT) and Broadband over Power Line (BPL). Progilon also provides project evaluation and project review consultancy to the European Commission as well as project technical management consultancy to European Information Society Technology (IST) projects.

Since 2001, Progilon has provided strategic consultancy to Easyplug, a Thomson-Schneider Electric joint-venture, Ilevo - Schneider Electric Powerline Communications, Panasonic Japan, and several other European and U.S. companies from the PLT/BPL industry.

Jean-Philippe Faure, Progilon CEO, is currently Chairman of two key groups for the development of the PLT/BPL industry: the IEEE P1901 Working Group on MAC-PHY protocol layers (more than 50 international companies) and the IEC CISPR/I PLT Project Team on electromagnetic compatibility of BPL equipment (more than 30 international experts).

Progilon was founded in 1994. During 1994-2001 Progilon has developed, manufactured and marketed low speed powerline communication products.
